Combatting Human Trafficking and Protecting the Rights of Children, Migrants and Women Victims Through Community Engagement Action in Sierra Leone

As one of the components supporting the success of the “Support to Free Movement of Persons and Migration in West Africa” (FMM West Africa) project, the Fund for Non-State Actors (NSA Fund) seeks to strengthen the capacities of non-state actors and local authorities to promote and protect the rights of migrants and to develop networks and cross-border cooperation projects throughout out the ECOWAS region through a call for proposals.

To this effect, the FMM West Africa NSA Fund provides grants for capacity-building activities in project development, implementation and monitoring and evaluation.

Increase geographical coverage for project implementation.

Promote partnership between the Globalization of Migration Reporters Awards, MigStories App and Database of Migration Stories.

Replicate the Network of Journalists in Migration Reporting in ECOWAS Member States.

Conduct capacity-building activities to cure “Editorial Red-Tapeism” in migration reporting
