Capacity Building for the NSA
The FMM West Africa and the implementing partners organized a regional training on Project Management and on Free Movement and migration management for selected grantees of the NSA Fund. The training took planned place 10 – 21 October 2016 in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.
The beneficiaries of the NSA Fund were trained to build the capacity of the grantees and provide them with opportunities to share experiences, replicable models and lessons learnt.
Capacity building for the Non State Actors to equip the Non-State Actors with requisite skills, techniques and procedures to manage and implement sound and effective Free Movement and migration programmes across the region and strengthen the knowledge of NSAs on migration and free movement policies and strategies to effectively participate in the implementation of the Free Movement Protocols and Common Approach on Migration.
The training sessions was also used to improve the grantees knowledge on how to provide them with insights about specific theme relevant to the FMM West Africa including Free Movement and Right of Establishment, cross border movement of persons and cooperation, migration management and among others mainstreaming gender into migration
Experienced experts from ECOWAS Commission, ITC – ILO, IOM, UNODC, MECC, AFRICAN Union, UN Women facilitated the two weeks intensive training to the Non State Actors and local authorities
